| Players Guide 2 |
Heralds are living symbols whose mere presence stirs allies to victory and signals doom to enemies. Amid the chaos of combat, creatures can look to these vanguards for guidance and trust that they are manipulating the field to give them every advantage.

Color Guard
3rd-Level Herald Feature
You can modify the mystic qualities of your war banner to better serve your allies. At the start of each of your turns, you can choose to move an active banner created by your War Banner feature to an unoccupied space within 30 feet of the banner’s current position (no action required).
In addition, creatures no longer have to see your banner to gain its benefits as long as they are within the banner’s range. Similarly, creatures within range of one of your banners don’t need to see or hear you to be affected by one of your stratagems (though you must still meet any such requirements to target them).
War Banner
3rd-Level Herald Feature
You gain the following War Banner option.
War Banner: Stirring Sign
You create a banner that quickens allies. A friendly creature that starts its turn within the banner’s range has its speed doubled and has advantage on DEX saves until the start of its next turn. If an affected creature takes the Attack action before the start of its next turn, it can make one additional weapon attack or unarmed strike as part of that action.
Regroup
7th-Level Herald Feature
As a bonus action while your war banner is active and you can see it, you can magically teleport yourself or a willing creature to any unoccupied space within the flag’s radius.
Alternatively, as a reaction when you or a willing creature you can see takes damage, begins to fall, or would otherwise be forced to move against its will, you can teleport the creature to an unoccupied space within the flag’s radius.
Double Standard
11th-Level Herald Feature
When you plant a war banner (see War Banner feature), you can choose two active effects instead of one.
Flag Bearer
15th-Level Herald Feature
You can now use your War Banner feature an unlimited number of times, and your banner effects now remain active for the full duration or until you choose to end the effect (regardless of whether you are incapacitated).
In addition, if you are reduced to less than half your hit point maximum or would be killed outright while you are within your banner’s radius, you can choose to end the active banner effect to regain a number of hit points equal to your vanguard level multiplied by your CHA modifier (minimum of 1). Once you use this feature, you can’t do so again until you finish a long rest.
