Marshals are considered by some to be the ultimate vanguards. They hone their martial and leadership skills to become beacons of authority on the battlefield that inspire undying loyalty in those they command. Those that choose this path inevitably leave their mark on history as knights of legend, ruthless conquerors, or brilliant generals.

Inspiring Leadership

3rd-Level Marshal Feature

When you use your Stratagems feature, you can choose one friendly creature that can see and hear you. That creature has advantage on the next attack roll it makes before the end of its next turn.

The number of creatures you can affect with this ability increases as you gain levels in the vanguard class. You can choose up to two creatures when you reach 7th level, three at 11th level, and four at 15th level.

War Banner

3rd-Level Marshal Feature

You gain the following War Banner option.

War Banner: Banner of Coordination

You create a banner that helps allies coordinate their strikes. A friendly creature that starts its turn within the banners range gains a +1 bonus to attack rolls for each other friendly creature currently within the banners range, up to your PB, until the start of its next turn.

Generals Gambit

7th-Level Marshal Feature

When you or a friendly creature that you can see within 30 feet of you fails an ability check, attack roll, or save, you can expend and roll one of your vanguard Hit Dice. Add the number rolled to the check result, potentially turning a failure into a success.

You can use this feature to modify multiple checks on the same round, but you cant use this feature to modify the same check more than once.

Comrade in Arms

11th-Level Marshal Feature

Whenever you use your Inspiring Leadership feature to give at least one friendly creature advantage, you can also grant yourself advantage on the next attack roll you make before the end of that turn.

In addition, when a creature hits with an attack that has advantage from your Inspiring Leadership, the attack deals additional damage of the attacks type equal to your PB + your CHA modifier (minimum of 2).

Battlefield Vigor

15th-Level Marshal Feature

You are the paragon of resilience on the battlefield. When you start your turn below half your hit point maximum but have at least 1 HP, you regain hit points equal to your PB + your CON modifier (minimum of 2).
